Guys I think it’s pretty obvious by now, but I am head over heels in love with Croatia. It’s hard to explain why, so I’ll let the video below show you.

It’s such an awesome place for travelers, whether you’re a backpacker looking for some bomb food and adventure or a holiday goer looking for luxury and relaxation.

I put this video together when I worked as a Workaway volunteer to help promote the hostel and Split tourism in general. If you’re heading out to Split for Sail Croatia or Yacht Week, I highly suggest extending your stay here (mostly to recover from the week-long party binge that exists on those sails) and Silver Hostels is the way to go! I lived there for a month and loved every minute.

Check them out on Hostelworld at Silver Central and Silver Gate!

  1. Ah love this! I am headed to Croatia in July and this just made me even more excited to go. I am not much of a hostel person, I’ve booked Airbnbs for my time there. But It looks like a rad place!

    1. Sarah that is awesome! I’m sure you’ll love it. The Airbnb’s there are so affordable and you’ll get great value – the buildings have so much character and history, you can get some amazing Airbnb rentals I’m sure!

  2. Love your video! It made me super excited for my September trip! How many days do you recommend in Split? I’m thinking of doing about 12 days total in Croatia but would like to see a few different cities!

    1. Hi Janie, I’d say 2-3 days is probably good. You’ll spend a bit less on accommodation in Split than you will in Dubrovnik, but make sure to get down there as well! The trip to Krka waterfalls is a full day, so if you’re interested in that I’d say make it 3 days in Split 🙂
